Comptroller
and Auditor-General is appointed by
the President. Procedure and grounds
for his removal from office are the
same as for a Supreme Court Judge.
He is not eligible for further office
under the Union or a State Government
after he ceases to hold his office.
The President on advice of Comptroller
and Auditor-General prescribes the
form in which accounts of the Union
and states are to be kept. His reports
on accounts of the Union and states
are submitted to the President and
respective governors which are placed
before Parliament and state legislatures.
