Spotlight: Exam Results & Admission Counselling Online

Our current Spotlight focuses on the ICT initiatives taken to make the availability of the results online. With this facility the students no longer need to struggle, travel long distances or stand in unending queues to see their results. The Spotlight also highlights the Results Portal, a specialised portal developed for disseminating results, News Update etc.

Another important initiative is the Online Admission Counselling, through which various universities provide free online counselling to students on admission to various professional courses such as B.E., B.Arch., B. Pharma., MBA, MCA, MBBS, BDS, B. Ed., etc. thus making it a lot more easier for the students to choose their study centre and course on the basis of number of seats available, merit list etc.

With such interventions of the ICT, one can definitely say that the technological advancements have reformed our lives to great extent making it simpler and convenient.

Sixth Pay Commission

The much awaited Sixth Central Pay Commission Report is finally here and india.gov.in brings you all the essentials of the highly anticipated recommendations. You can view Highlights of the Sixth Pay Commission, Report of the Sixth Central Pay Commission and an Annex to the Report of the Sixth Central Pay Commission through india.gov.in.

The National Portal has been associated with the Sixth Central Pay Commission from the very outset, disseminating crucial updates from the Commission regularly through the Portal. india.gov.in once again has emerged out an the most effective medium for public participation - upholding the true spirit of e-democracy. A special communiqué highlighting all important features of the Sixth Central Pay Commission was sent exclusively to our registered users. india.gov.in got a whopping number of 90 Lakh hits in a day.

Reading is an activity that is both fun and enlightening. It helps us to expand our horizons, enriches us and is a good way to lighten up. The Publications Division (PD), one of the leading publishing houses in the Country and the largest in the public sector, functions under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It attempts to promote National Integration by disseminating information and creating awareness about the various activities, regions, people and the myriad cultures & beliefs of this Nation.
