To enjoy the vibrant cultural heritage and spiritual mysticism of India read our section, 'My India, My Pride'. This section is a modest attempt at showcasing some of the varied facets of our country. Some of the things that you will find here are:

The President's Address to the Nation on the eve of Republic Day 2010.
Webcast / Video on demand of the Republic Day Celebrations.
Padma Awardees, Gallantry Awards and Police Medal winners
National Bravery Award Winners.
'My India, My Pride' badge can be downloaded in different formats.
A special Microsite in honour of the 61^st Republic Day was also created to reignite the patriotic fervor in our hearts.
Colourful pictures of proud Indians at the grand celebration of the Republic Day in the photo gallery is also available.

Publications

The Publications Division of India publishes books every month which can be now browsed easily through the National Portal. This month's publication includes:

Sir Chhotu Ram a saga of Inspirational Leadership is a biography by Balbir Singh. Sir Chhotu Ram is known for planning and executing agrarian reforms in the undivided Punjab during 1920-45.

Bhartiya Poshak (Bengali) is a book on how the costume is a cultural symbol of the society. It is written by A. Biswas. This well illustrated book depicts in detail the dress transformation that had taken place over the ages in our country, known for its diversity.

Greetings

Maha Shiv Ratri: This festival is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. It is celebrated every year during Krishna paksh in the month of Falgun. Add your warm wishes to the celebration; send thoughtful e-greetings to your friends and family.

Eid Milad-Un-Nabi: This festival is celebrated as the Islamic birth date of the holy Prophet Muhammad. Send your loved ones personalised e-greetings from our collection.
