Union Budget 2010: The Budget is indicative of the economic growth and financial wellbeing of a nation. In this spotlight, we have highlighted the important aspects of the Union Budget, covering major announcements, policy change, reforms, allocations, etc. for various sectors.

We have also included highlights from the Railway Budget.

You can read the full text of the Economic Survey 2009-2010 here. The Economic Survey is the Government's view on the annual economic development of the country, and apprises the public of the challenges and possibilities ahead. The Finance Ministry presents the Economic Survey in Parliament every year, just before the Union Budget.
