Greetings

Buddha Purnima : Also known as Buddha Jayanti, this festival has three special significances. It marks the day Lord Buddha was born, his enlightenment and the attainment of Nirvana upon his death. On this day, Buddhists wear white clothes, visit Viharas for worship and donate alms to monks. Caged animals are bought and set free to display care for all living creatures, as preached by Lord Buddha.
