Remembering the Mahatma ::  Spotlight : Remembering the Mahatma

This month, we dwell on the importance of Mahatma Gandhi's message of non violence in a world torn by terrorist attacks and strife. Gandhiji came out with the unique philosophy of Satyagraha, meaning the, 'force of truth' when he was based in South Africa. He later used it in various campaigns for the freedom of the country, meeting success when India finally gained her independence in 1947. Today, when the country is facing similar attacks aimed to drive fear into the hearts of its citizens, it is time for an introspection on how non violence can help us.
