Passport Seva enables simple, efficient and transparent processes for delivery of passport and related services. This project creates a countrywide networked environment for Government staff and integrates with the State Police for physical verification of applicant's credentials and with India Post for delivery of passports. The Ministry of External Affairs, along with Common Services Centre (CSC) e -Governance Services India Limited has also launched Passport related services through the vast network of over one lakh Common Services Centres (CSCs) across rural hinterland.
In an ongoing effort to continually improve compliance of Government websites with stipulated standards, and thus enhance User-friendliness, Universal accessibility, & User-centricity, a community of stakeholders is being seeded & fostered in addition to various other initiatives, under the SUGAM Web identity. SUGAM Web stands for Sustainable User-centric Governance through Accessible and Managed Web sites.
