Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated every year in India on 2nd October to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It is an important national holiday to remember the apostle of peace and non-violence.

The day is celebrated no less than a festival in India. Everyone offers prayers and tributes at Raj Ghat, a memorial in Delhi where Gandhiji was cremated.

Gandhi is known for his invaluable contribution to India's freedom struggle and non-violence movements. His principles of truth and non-violence are still remembered by leaders and modern thinkers.
