The National Medical Register (NMR) is a centralized database of registered medical practitioners in modern medicine in the country, maintained by the National Medical Commission. The NMR contains information about each medical practitioner, including qualification, area of specialisation (in process), registration status and date of registration etc. The NMR also assigns each practitioner a unique identification number called NMR ID.
