Kendriya Vidyalaya Malappuram was established in 1986 under the able guidance of the founder Principal Sri N V Namboodirpad under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

The Region hosts a huge cluster of 70+ Kendriya Vidyalayas in which 19 Kendriya Vidyalayas are under Defence Sector, 47 under Civil Sector, 05 under Project Sector and 01 under Institute of Higher Learning.

E-Learning is a learning system based on formalized teaching with the help of electronic resources such as computers, tablets and cellular phones connected to the internet. It makes easy for users to learn anytime and anywhere. E-Learning contains visuals, apart from holding the attention of the student, are also retained by the brain for longer periods.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Dhana was established in 1981 in Army barrack (building). In 2000 The Kendriya Vidyalya Dhana has transferred to its own building Army camp Dhana, which is 25 km far away from Sagar on Rehali road. Kendriya Vidyalaya Dhana is a pioneer Defence sector educational institute established in the year 1981, situated in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh about 25 Km from Sagar towards Rehli.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Bamangachi was born in January 1986 and started functioning in the Eastern Railway Institute Hall at Bamangachi. Then it shifted to Eastern Railway running room Bamangachi in the year 1988. At that time it was running till Class VIII but gradually it was upgraded and XI commerce stream was introduced.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Kalapet, Puducherry was established in the year 1986 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

National Awards to Teachers was instituted in 1958. The purpose of the scheme is to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the country and to honor those teachers who through their commitment have not only improved the quality of school education but also enriched the lives of their students.
