The India Portal mobile app is developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. It serves as an extension of the National Portal of India, offering unified access to a wide range of government content, schemes, and citizen services from various ministries, departments, and associated platforms.

Privacy Policy

The India Portal app does not automatically collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, phone number, or email address. India Portal app, including Android/iOS versions, does not automatically capture any specific personal information from you, (like name, phone number or e-mail address), that allows us to identify you individually. If the app requests personal information, you will be informed about the purpose for which it is being collected, and adequate security measures will be taken to protect your data.

We do not sell or share any personally identifiable information volunteered through the app with any third party (public or private). All information provided is safeguarded against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

The app may collect non-personal technical data such as IP address, domain name, browser type, operating system, date and time of visit, and pages accessed. This information is used for statistical and security purposes only. We make no effort to link this data with individual identities unless there is an attempt to harm or compromise the app or portal.
