The Union Ministry of Agriculture has four Central Poultry Development Organisations (Regional Directorate on Poultry development). Subsequently all the poultry units of the Central Government were restructured. In view of that the Central Poultry Breeding Farm Chandigarh and Regional Feed Analytical Laboratory, Chandigarh were merged and the Organisation has been re-christened as Central Poultry Development Organisastion (Northern Region), Chandigarh. The objective of the organisation is to ensure optimum utilization of staff and infrastructure facilities. The Organisation will serve as a single window to meet out all the technical requirements of the poultry farmers of the northern region of India and working for the development of the poultry in the country.
