Directorate General of Health Services is instrumental in coordination and implementation of various national and state health programmes. To cope up with the situation regarding need of health outlets, many more health outlets are being added to existing ones from time to time to meet the health needs subject to the availability of resources. For this, this Directorate is involved in getting land from various level owning agencies and building health centres and hospitals in different areas of Delhi depending on needs of its ciitizens and availability of resources.
