The Union Ministry of Agriculture has four Central Poultry Development Organisations (Regional Directorate on Poultry development). Subsequently all the poultry units of the Central Government were restructured. In view of that the Central Poultry Breeding Farm Chandigarh and Regional Feed Analytical Laboratory, Chandigarh were merged and the Organisation has been re-christened as Central Poultry Development Organisastion (Northern Region), Chandigarh.
