    Armoured Vehicles Headquarters was established on 21st June 1984 and Shri. J.C. Marwaha became the first Addl.DGOF/AV to monitor and coordinate the Projects, Production activities of HVF, OFMK & EFA. Subsequently, OLF & OFDUN were brought under AVHQ during 1997, OCFC in 2008 and recently in January 2017 Ordnance Factory, Muradnagar was also brought under AVHQ.
