Rashtrapati Nilayam is one of the 3 Presidential retreats in India and the only one present in Southern India. It was constructed in 1860 with a total land area of 90 acres and After the Hyderabad state's integration into Indian Union, it became the President's retreat and used as the Southern Sojourn. The President of India currently visits Nilayam every year in December.

The Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra is a 173-year-old heritage building located in the picturesque surroundings of Mashobra, Himachal Pradesh. The estate has a plinth area of 10,628 sq. ft. and comprises the main building, lawns, orchards and nature trails. This retreat is visited by the President of India every year during summer.
