Preservation activities aim to minimise the physical and chemical deterioration of records and to prevent the loss of information. Delhi Archives is making earnest efforts to ensure longevity to documents in its custody through preventive, curative and restorative processes. The records which are in the form of files, books, volumes, rare manuscripts, maps and photographs are stored as per archival standards in compactor system. The stack area is provided with state of the art fire-fighting system and temperature controlled atmosphere.
