Kendriya Vidyalaya, Baran was established in 1996 in civil sector from class I to V with strength of 126. In present it is up to class XII with science & commerce stream affiliated by the CBSE Board.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Rajnandgaon, Raipur was established in the year 2011 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a well knit organizational set-up which is marching forward with a mission. There are nearly 895 schools divided in 18 regions. Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Kharagpur is one of them. The pretentious three storied building in the south side near the Rly microwave Town is worth seeing. It got started in the year 1986 and is being nurtured as a Model Vidyalaya by KVS since the year 2000.
