Kendriya Vidyalaya Malappuram was established in 1986 under the able guidance of the founder Principal Sri N V Namboodirpad under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Vidyalaya Miao, Assam was established in the year 2012 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Delhi Region was established in the year 1977. The first Assistant Commissioner of the Region was Mr. H. L. Khosla.
