Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanpur began its academic flight as an institute of higher learning sector Vidyalaya in 1965. Since its inception this citadel has not only expanded and flourished in various spheres of education but has also establish its merit and name in the region and the nation in the fields of academic results, literary activities, games and sports.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rajouri came into existence in salubrious environs in the month of August 1980 to provide an opportunity through quality education. A co-educational school with unity in diversity is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The Vidyalaya campus has ample space of recreation, rest and fresh air. An ideal place for purposeful academic pursuits and mental growth. State-of-the-art classrooms Class rooms are redesigned to the demands of the changing paradigms and innovations in educational practices and precepts. There are 38 class rooms for students of classes 1 to 12.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mahe was established during the academic year 2008-2009 .It is a civil sector school. The school started functioning on 09-07-08 with classes from I to V with one section each.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Vidyalaya, Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu was established in the year 2004 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

The Vidyalaya came into existence in 1986 under the Ministry of Education. Initially It was started in the campus of famous Rani Shakti Temple and ran for about seven years there and then shifted to the present location-own building-in Sept.1992. It is running as civil sector school, two section school mainly to cater to the needs of wards of Military Personnel-serving or retired , a big number of which belongs to Jhunjhunu District.

National Awards to Teachers was instituted in 1958.
