Support to Training and Employment Programme for Women (STEP) scheme was launched in the year 1986-87and is dedicated to marginalized, assetless rural women and urban poor. The Scheme is funded by the Central government and implementing agency. This scheme is applicable for wage labourers, unpaid daily workers, female headed households, migrant labourers, tribal and other dispossessed groups.
