Law Department is mainly an Advisory Department to all the Departments of Secretariat on Legal matters. It scrutinizes draft Orders, notifications, rules, bye laws, regulations, Memorandum of Understandings (both Statutory and Non-Statutory) Rules, Instructions and Drafts, Drafting work relating to the Legislation of Draft Bills and Ordinances in Legislative matters.
