Andaman Lakshadweep Harbour Works (ALHW) was set up by the Ministry of Surface transport in October 1965 and entrusted with the responsibility of formulating and implementing the programmes of the Government for providing Ports and Harbour structures including allied facilities in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
