Kendriya Vidyalaya, INS Shivaji Lonavla was established in 1963 as a Defence Sector School. The Vidyalaya is encompassed in a lush green campus of 14.5 Acres . The Vidyalaya is situated in the picturesque surroundings of INS Shivaji Naval Base which is about 8 km away from Lonavla Railway Station, Surrounded by exuberant environment and pleasant climate.

The PGI-District is envisaged & developed after the triumph of PGI State with focused objective of assessing districts in six categories namely Outcomes, Effective Classroom Transaction (ECT), Infrastructure, Facilities, Student Entitlements (IF & SE), School Safety and Child Protection (SS &CP), Digital Learning (DL) and Governance Processes (GP) which are further expanded into 12 domains.

Vidyalaya building has developed on modern lines of architecture suggesting the multi dimensional approach of the Vidyalaya. Kendriya Vidyalaya Nehu, Shillong was established in the year 1984 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya N.H.P.C, URI was established in the year 1962 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Namrup, Assam was established in the year 1982 in a permanent structure which is fully completed in 1985 in a sprawling campus of 14 acres near Namrup College in the sector E of BVFCL Colony Namrup, under the patronage of then HFC (now BVFCL).
