Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan,a pace setting institution in the field of education established a Kendriya Vidyalaya at Hathimatha, near Kokrajhar town in the year 1984 with a view to catering to the educational needs of various ethnic groups in this remote location.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Lunglei, Mizoram was established in the year 2002 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rohtak came into existence in salubrious environs in the month of June, 1995 to provide an opportunity to the children of the area through quality education. It is a Civil Sector Vidyalaya. Affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), it is a co-educational school which seeks to promote unity in diversity.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Ghazipur was established in 1986, in the premises of Govt. Opium & Alkaloid Works Ghazipur on the bank of river Ganga. This vidyalaya is running under civil sector.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Yanam was established in the year 1987 by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous body which comes under the Ministry of Education.
