Kendriya Vidyalaya , AFS Amla was switched over to the Central Schools Scheme with effect Depot Higher Secondary school.1st May 1964 from Narendra Higher Secondary School, Amla which was hither to known as Amla. The School started in 1953 as Narendra Higher Secondary School, Amla and got first recognition in the year 1956. It catered to students upto Class XI Science and Humanities Stream. It got permanent recognition in 1965.
