ZIET Mysore is one of the 05 ZIETs of KVS and caters basically to the South Zone. This institute focuses on the training of KVS staff specially Teachers from the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Chhattisgarh & U.T s of Puducherry and Mahe.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Embassy of India, Kathmandu, is one of the three Kendriya Vidyalayas located abroad and the other two are Moscow and in Tehran. Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPF, Avadi was started in 1978 under Civil Sector. Fifteen acres of land has been provided by CRPF.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Godhra, Gujarat was established in the year 2006 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.
