Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education is running nearly 1229 Kendriya Vidyalayas all over the country to provide qualitative education from Class I to Class XII for the wards of the Central Government Employees and other population. For the administrative convenience, it has been divided into 25 regions.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Boudh, Odisha was established in the year 2002, an autonomous body under Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Bawana was established in the year 1985, with a single section now evolved into a three section Vidyalaya. It is located amid the lush green, pollution free and serene environs of Air Force Station, Bawana about 4 km from Bawana Village and 8 km from Narela sub-city.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Old Cantt, Allahabad was established in the year 1987. This Vidyalaya comes under defence sector. The Vidyalaya is running classes from class I to Class XII with all three streams.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a well knit organizational set-up which is marching forward with a mission. There are nearly 895 schools divided in 18 regions. Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Kharagpur is one of them. The pretentious three storied building in the south side near the Rly microwave Town is worth seeing. It got started in the year 1986 and is being nurtured as a Model Vidyalaya by KVS since the year 2000.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Waltair, Hyderabad was established in the year 1980 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Buxar was founded in 1962. The school has affiliation from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers admission from class I onwards. The highest education offered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Buxar is class XII.
