Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Vasco Da Gamma was established in the year 1986 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Vijayawada was established in the year 1987 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Air Force Station, Darbhanga, Patna was established in the year 1993 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Barabanki was established in July 1996. The building of vidyalaya was A-O type. The vidyalaya was established upto class x but the permission was sanctioned to the vidyalaya to open class XI-Science in 2009-2010. The Vidyalaya got permission to start XI-Science in Year 2009-2010 Now it is running upto class xii with science stream.

Situated in a sprawling green environs of Uppal - Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 Uppal is a two section school with a beautiful ambience. It is a project school of Survey of India catering to the needs of other Central govenment Institutes like CCMB, IICT, etc. It has well experienced faculty and well equipped labs , it can boast of a big playground which is rare in the center of the city.
