Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Ichhanath, Surat was established in the year 1962 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Delhi Region was established in the year 1977. The first Assistant Commissioner of the Region was Mr. H. L. Khosla. Over the years, the Region has been expanding with more and more number of Schools and presently the number of Vidyalayas have become 68 including second shift.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Kirandul is started since 1979. It is a project school under NMDC . It is an Iron Ore Mining Complex under NMDC Ltd. which is popularly known as Bailadilla Iron Ore Mines (BIOM). It comes under Dantewada District.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Udhampur, which is crowned with the title of the SMART SCHOOL in the state, is deemed to be one of the first generation institutions of its kind in our country under Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. It was established in 1965 under the able guidance of the founder Principal Shri Karam Singh.

This Vidyalaya is located in serene sylvan surroundings situated at Trespone in District Kargil in Ladakh UT. The school is functioning in a permanent building and catering to the Civil Sector. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Beawar was established in the year 1993 in a rented old banglow initially sponsered by indian oil corporation, sendra it remained housed in rented accomadation for more than 12 years,where space was a great constraint it shifted to its own beautiful building spread in 13 acre.
