Kendriya Vidyalaya INS, Kalinga was established in the year 1989 to cater to the needs of the wards of the defense personnel servicing in INS KALINGA and the elite naval commandos, MARCOS. The first Chairman was Cmde. VVN Rao.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur was established in the year 1996 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Dodballapur, Bangalore Rural was established in the year 1986, an autonomous body under Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Longding, Arunachal Pradesh was established in the year 1984 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya STPS, Suratgarh was established in the year 1963 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, A.F.S, Hindan opened in 1970 is one of the institutes run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the Ministry of Education. The Vidyalaya's building and its sprawling 15 acres of green tranquility provide an atmosphere for growth of excellence, both quantitative and qualitative, in all its streams of Science, commerce and Humanities for its 2421 students and 81 members of teaching and non teaching staff.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Ahmednagar was established in the year 1985 with the view to provide higher education for the escape of the defense personnel. The schools established in the defense sector meet the children of defense and especially the paramilitary personnel and in general the need of education of temporary population, along with those of other departments of Central and State Governments.
