Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 AFS, Gorakhpur was established in the year 1973 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Dharamshala Cantt , Gurgaon was established in the year 1981 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

The PGI-District is envisaged & developed after the triumph of PGI State with focused objective of assessing districts in six categories namely Outcomes, Effective Classroom Transaction (ECT), Infrastructure, Facilities, Student Entitlements (IF & SE), School Safety and Child Protection (SS &CP), Digital Learning (DL) and Governance Processes (GP) which are further expanded into 12 domains.

Vidya Amrit aims to encourage, recognise and nurture innovations in the form of millions of micro-improvements across the 1.5 million schools in our education system, so that our students get a conducive learning environment. It aims to make the improvement process easy, simple and achievable.

Kendriaya Vidyalaya IIT was established in the year 1964 with the patronage and assistance of IIT Management. Nestling in the greenery of the eco-friendly IIT Campus, the Vidyalaya has been nurtured by the parental care of the IIT authorities and today is marching confidently towards its desired goal with head held high.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Tenga Valley was started in 1976. It mainly serves the educational needs of children of BSF, CISF, Army and Railway employees.
