Starting its voyage from 25th november 1972 the vidyalaya has emerged as a pioneering institute on the horizon of edu-dom to develop individuals with razor sharp abilities with the constant effort of the students ,timely guidance from kendriya vidyalaya saqagathan, cooperation from parents and community, unflinching sincerity and unflagging devotion of its dedicated staff .

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Kalaikunda was established in the year 1967 primarily to cater to the need of education for the children of defence persons. The Vidyalaya is situated at a distance of 16 kms from Kharagpur railway station. At present 1700 students are studying from classes I to XII. The scheme of pre-primary education has been taken up from the session 2002-2003.

Kendriya Vidyalaya B.S.F Khajuwala, Rajasthan was established in the year 1997 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

A landmark institution of Sun City Jodhpur, K. V. No. 1, Air force Station, Jodhpur commenced its journey in the year 1964 when it was handed over to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan by the management authorities of I.A.F. Higher Secondary School, Jodhpur on 1st May 1964. Coming under Defence sector.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Fort William, Kolkata was established in 1965 and imparts education from class I to XII. The school is having 4 sections from class I to X. The Senior Secondary section of Vidyalaya is also having 4 sections - two sections of Science, one section of Commerce and one of Humanities.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhandup, Mumbai was established in the year 1986 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, NFC Nagar, Ghatkesar was established in the year 1995. Initially the Vidyalaya started functioning with the modest strength of 120 in the classes I to IV. The Vidyalaya has been recording a sustainable development both in terms of the strength and the standard of the students.
