Kendriya Vidyalaya Central University Tezpur, Sonitpur was established in the year 2011 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathua was started in April 2003 at Kathua, J&K. Since its inception, it has steadily progressed to reach a recognizable position among the Kendriya Vidyalaya's of the Jammu region. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Durgapur was established in the year 2003 in accordance with the National Policy of Education 1986.
