Kendriya Vidyalaya Ukhrul, Manipur was established in the year 2007 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

The Vidyalaya came into existence in 1986 under the Ministry of Education. Initially It was started in the campus of famous Rani Shakti Temple and ran for about seven years there and then shifted to the present location-own building-in Sept.1992. It is running as civil sector school, two section school mainly to cater to the needs of wards of Military Personnel-serving or retired , a big number of which belongs to Jhunjhunu District.

The 13th Aug, 2006 was the most auspicious day when the foundation stone of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Paikmal, Bargarh under the Ministry of Human Resource Development,

Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPF, Ranchi was established in the year 1995. Over the year the school progressed and presently functions in an own permanent building. School having two sections in each class up to X with one section in Science and Commerce stream in XI and XII.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a well knit organizational set-up which is marching forward with a mission. There are nearly 895 schools divided in 18 regions. Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Kharagpur is one of them. The pretentious three storied building in the south side near the Rly microwave Town is worth seeing. It got started in the year 1986 and is being nurtured as a Model Vidyalaya by KVS since the year 2000.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Minicoy, Lakshadweep is a co-educational institution established in 1988 functions under Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, which is an autonomous organization under the auspices of the Dept of School Education & Literacy.
