The Vidyalaya came into existence in 1986 under the Ministry of Education. Initially It was started in the campus of famous Rani Shakti Temple and ran for about seven years there and then shifted to the present location-own building-in September 1992.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mankhurd, Mumbai was established in the year 1987 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya follows the NCERT syllabus and prepares the students for All India Secondary School Examination Class X &Class XII conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Bhopal has the privilege of being one of the oldest and biggest schools in the Bhopal Region. It came into existence in 1964.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sarni established in the year of 1976 since then thousands and thousands of students have scattered in the world taking the torch of education from this Vidyalaya. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sarni is a school running under Project of WCL & MPPGCL. The school is a two section Vidyalaya from class I to XII, for classes XI & XII the school provides the streams of Science (Bio / Maths / Computer Science).
