Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Begumpet was established in 1982 with classes Force Station premises. We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded and by which one can stand on ranging from I to VIII with three sections each.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Kalapet, Puducherry was established in the year 1986 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

The programme Saakshar Bharat was formulated in 2009 with the objective of achieving 80% literacy level at national level by focusing on adult women literacy seeking to reduce the gap between male and female literacy to not more than 10 percentage points.
