Department of School Education and Literacy is implementing an Umbrella Scheme for Providing Quality Education to Madrasas/Minorities (SPEMM) which comprises of two schemes namely Scheme for Providing Quality Education in Madrasas (SPQEM) and Infrastructure Development of Minority Institutes (IDMI). The scheme is being implemented at the national level.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Namrup, Assam was established in the year 1982 in a permanent structure which is fully completed in 1985 in a sprawling campus of 14 acres near Namrup College in the sector E of BVFCL Colony Namrup, under the patronage of then HFC (now BVFCL).

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, GCF, Jabalpur was established in the year 1985 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya IVRI Bareilly is a centre of excellence in the field of education. The school was established in the year 1992 under the IVRI project. It has one sections each upto classes I to XII. At present this Vidyalaya has 486 students.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Boudh, Odisha was established in the year 2002, an autonomous body under Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Jhajha was founded in the year 2015 in Jhajha Railway Colony, Jhajha (Jamui). This is a Railway sector co-education school under the Patna region of the KVS, is same as one of the most prestigious institutions of learning in Patna Region.

Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Chabua, Dibrugarh was established in the year 1981 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.
