Kendriya Vidyalaya BSF, Gandhinagar, West Bengal was established in the year 1984 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Ahmednagar was established in the year 1985 with the view to provide higher education for the escape of the defense personnel. Kendriya Vidyalaya OCF came into existence in 1985 in the Defence sector with Ordnance Clothing Factory Avadi as the sponsoring agency. The Vidyalaya has a building with an imposing structure inaugurated in October 1995.
