Kendriya Vidyalaya Garden Reach, Kolkata was established in the year 1988 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Important Milestone of Growth This Vidyalaya started as 3 section school with enrolment of 500 students. In 2004 School has started second shift. Total strength of 2 shifts is about 4500. The Genisis Of The Kv on. 16 Jan 1967 foundation stone was laid by Lt. Gen. Harbaksh Singh. On 8 September 1968 school building was inaugurated by Maj. Gen. S K Korla.
