Kendriya Vidyalaya Khagaria, Patna was established in the year 1994 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Barabanki was established in July 1996. The building of vidyalaya was A-O type. The vidyalaya was established upto class x but the permission was sanctioned to the vidyalaya to open class XI-Science in 2009-2010.
