Kendriya Vidyalaya, Embassy of India, Kathmandu, is one of the three Kendriya Vidyalayas located abroad and the other two are Moscow and in Tehran. These schools require the education of the children of employees working in Indian Missions and other bodies. It is a civil sector school. Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathmandu was established in the year 1973 under the Indian Cooperative Mission(ICM).

This national program is a call to the nation, particularly individuals & organizations across the country to contribute e-learning resources in the education domain to ensure that quality learning continues for learners across India.

The scheme envisages award of one lakh fresh scholarships every year to selected students of class IX and their continuation/renewal in classes X to XII for study in a State Government, Government-aided and Local body schools under the scheme.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Picket came in to existence on 1st July 1964 when Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan took over the Air force School in Picket.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pragati Vihar, New Delhi was established in the year 1982 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Vidyalaya Ramagundam, Andhra Pradesh was established in the year 1980 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Started in the year 1995 as a single section civil sector school sponsored by the Odisha. Began with only Primary classes from I to V in a Temporary accommodation of NAC Guest house building. Now from 2004 Vidyalaya is functioning in the permanent campus at Gandhi Marg Angul.
