Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Udhampur, which is crowned with the title of the SMART SCHOOL in the state, is deemed to be one of the first generation institutions of its kind in our country under KVS. It was established in 1965 under the able guidance of the founder Principal Shri Karam Singh.
