Kendriya Vidyalaya Reckongpeo, Kinnaur was established in the year 2003 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a well knit organizational set-up which is marching forward with a mission. There are nearly 895 schools divided in 18 regions. Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Kharagpur is one of them. The pretentious three storied building in the south side near the Rly microwave Town is worth seeing. It got started in the year 1986 and is being nurtured as a Model Vidyalaya by KVS since the year 2000.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, NFC Nagar, Ghatkesar was established in the year 1995. Initially the Vidyalaya started functioning with the modest strength of 120 in the classes I to IV. The Vidyalaya has been recording a sustainable development both in terms of the strength and the standard of the students.
