Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanpur Cantt, Lucknow was established in the year 1982 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidayalaya Shahdol started in the year 1993 in the building of Law College Shahdol. Vidyalaya shifted in the Permanent Building which is situated in Kalyanpur Shahdol, In the year 2000. Presently 925 Students are enrolled in Vidyalaya and Vidyalaya is having Science and Commerce stream.
