Kendriya Vidyalaya, Naval Station, Karanja is one of the premier institutions located in the suburbs (NAD, Uran Taluka) of the metropolitan city Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. Initially it was an English medium school, run by Naval Armament Depot (NAD) under the Chairmanship of Shri N A Malwade. The school's inception as Kendriya Vidyalaya took place on the 1st of July 1970.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Shahdol, Jabalpur was established in the year 1993 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Karauli was established in the year 2004 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.
