Kendriya Vidyalayas are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body set up by the Ministry of Education. These are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 Air Force Station started in 1983 at Akash Nagar, Pune.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, NPGC Nabinagar was founded on 14th July 2018. This is a project co-education school under the Patna region of the KVS, This Vidyalaya initially opened with primary classes.
