Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 Faridabad is a part of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, one of the major institute of education of the city is situated in Faridabad. Established in the year 1977 it is spread over 4 acres of vast land.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 was established on 22/07/1986. Initially it was a primary school with class I to V, every class had two sections. Mr. L. R. Patil was the first Principal RADM. R. V. Singh (AVSM) was the first Chairman of this Vidyalaya. The Vidyalaya grew over the years. The first batch of X class passed out from the school in year 1992.

Department of School Education and Literacy is implementing an Umbrella Scheme for Providing Quality Education to Madrasas/Minorities (SPEMM) which comprises of two schemes namely Scheme for Providing Quality Education in Madrasas (SPQEM) and Infrastructure Development of Minority Institutes (IDMI).
