Kendriya Vidyalaya Bamangachi was born in January 1986 and started functioning in the Eastern Railway Institute Hall at Bamangachi. Then it shifted to Eastern Railway running room Bamangachi in the year 1988. At that time it was running till Class VIII but gradually it was upgraded and XI commerce stream was introduced.

The vidyalaya was established in 1996 in 4.083 Hectors of land at Port Bair. The vidyalaya is under the civil sector and has an enrollment of 1535 as on date comprising 785 boys and 750 girls. It is a three section school from I to X and has four sections XI and XII classes offering Science, Commerce and Humanities streams.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sehore, which was opened on 26-10-1986, had been the prime gem in the crown of the Sangathan. The quality of education by highly educated teaching staff and self disciplined habits inculcated in the children are the focus to attract admission in this prestigious institution. Now it provides education from Class I to XII, and school running in two streams Science and Commerce in class XI & XII.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 Armapur, Uttar Pradesh was established in the year 1983 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.
