Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Salt Lake, Kolkata was established in the year 1977 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Mundali, Cuttack was established in the year 1986 one of the oldest Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of Odisha. JNV, Mundali, Cuttack has been implementing the noble aims and objectives of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti scrupulously.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Simdega, Jharkhand was established in the year 2007 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Amarpur, Kanpur was established in the year 1983 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education.

This Vidyalaya started functioning in the academic year 1984 at Air Force Station Suryalanka Bapatla. The Vidyalaya aims at all round personality development of the students. This Vidyalaya has got good infrastructural facility with well equipped laboratories and Departments helping in imparting quality education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education is running nearly 1229 Kendriya Vidyalayas all over the country to provide qualitative education from Class I to Class XII for the wards of the Central Government Employees and other population. For the administrative convenience, it has been divided into 25 regions.
